چکیده

The vision of the Semantic Web is to reduce manual discovery and usage of Web resources (documents and services) and to allow intelligent agents to automatically identify these Web resources, integrate them and execute them for achieving the intended goals of the user. The composed Web service is represented as a workflow, called service flow. This paper presents different types of compositional knowledge required for automatic Web service flow generation: operational (syntactic), semantic and pragmatic knowledge. Operational knowledge deals with the right output and input types for possible service composition, while semantic knowledge is domain-specific expert knowledge that governs the Web service compositionality. In addition, pragmatic knowledge allows the contextual as well as common sense knowledge to constrain the Web service composition. We show how to extend the current XML-based standards to represent the compositional knowledge or rules that play a role in service discovery and composition.

Automated web service composition with knowledge approach

The topic of this thesis is web service composition with using planning methods and knowledge approach. Web services are programs located on computer networks (mainly on internet). Each web service provides certain functionality (e.g. translation between two languages). If it is not possible fulfill request by one web service (e.g. it’s needed translate word from English to Spanish but there is...

QoS-Based web service composition based on genetic algorithm

Quality of service (QoS) is an important issue in the design and management of web service composition. QoS in web services consists of various non-functional factors, such as execution cost, execution time, availability, successful execution rate, and security. In recent years, the number of available web services has proliferated, and then offered the same services increasingly. The same web ...

Ontological Description and MAS based Composition Process of SWS's for Recruitment Domain

It seems that information is spread over internet and to retrieve useful information easily by mean of intelligent computing is the growing field of research. This need gives birth to semantic web services and various approaches are given for composition of these services. The key problem is to fulfill user’s request. Intelligent Agents are used as a powerful approach for semantic web services ...

An Ontological Framework for Web Service Processes

The process notion is central in computing. Business processes and workflow processes are essential elements of software systems implementations. Processes are connected to notions of interaction and composition. The Web Services Framework as a development and deployment platform for services is based on the assembly of interacting processes as the compositional paradigm. Service-based software...

A Semantical Framework for the Orchestration and Choreography of Web Services

Web Services are software services that can be advertised by providers and invoked by customers using Web technologies. This concept is currently carried further to address the composition of individual services through orchestration and choreography to services processes that communicate and interact with each other. We propose an ontology framework for these Web service processes that provide...
